Blame it on the boobies [02 Aug 2007|09:49pm]
[ music | Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls ]

The hour is damn nigh now. It seems like everytime we go out, it's a farewell party for someone.

Anyway, yesterday-slash-today was sort of Rachel's but also Jerrine's because Jerrine wanted to Mambo at least once before flying. So yesterday afternoon we pitched tent in M Hotel, played bridge, watched Fashion TV (at one point they were showing topless male models shot waist up so might as well be nekkid, and the phrase F MEN flashed across the screen).

Haha the smiles grow a little wider cos Sam joins in the fun.

Oh! This was when Luke decided to be ahpek and put on the hotel dressing robe over his shorts and tee. Right then the doorbell went for "Housekeeping!" and we realised how the scene would look to an outsider; virile man in dressing robe photographing 6 rumpled girls lounging about in bed. And yet, their impression would be.. so mistaken. Anyway, got all gussied up for Mambo etc, cabbed there, Christine and Joy realised they'd forgotten ID (CLEVER) so they cabbed back, while the rest of us milled about in front of Zouk, darting into the queue from time to time if it looked like it was reaching uncomfortably long proportions and then realising over and over again that the queue moves damn fast so was not worth the bother. Throughout entire night we danced in a warm gyrating circle with Mother Vicky and Simon preventing infiltration by other random straight guys, except when they introduced their own.. I guess somewhat slimy?.. friends into the mix. Mhm so four and a half hours of dance shout stumble about followed, slaying our toes and throats. I think Joy escaped unscathed though thanks to her trusty New Balance sneakers and uh, dignity.

When we got back to the hotel it was Joy's favorite part of the night; the sleepover! Naturally, while the rest of us flopped into bed wearing ugly t-shirts and shorts with residual makeup gunk and club smell, Joy showered and put on pastel pink and blue pajamas so she could wake up looking like Cinderella waiting for the bluebirds to fly in the window and braid her hair. Sam told us a Story that made us realize how people can have v pro facades and how, despite the Mothership's general.. unladylike dispositions, we are homebodies at heart. I was most content on the train ride home with Joy, gossiping over morning perk-us-ups at Starbucks Eastpoint (Alfian's sister is on the Starbucks board thang! I think). It's v pleasant having a good friend living so near you, even if you're not allowed into her house haha.
